For the most beautiful flower! Happy Holiday!
Birds singing sweet, budding trees and flowers, today the whole world celebrates and wishes health and prosperity. It is Palm Sunday!
The maidens that performed the ritual Lazaruvane on the previous day gather at the river, and each brings its Corolla and knead in advance ritual bread (doll) and implement the custom "kumichene." Whorls and pieces of bread are paced on a wooden plank and floated downstream. The maiden whose corolla floats at the front is selected for "kumitsa" and leads the maiden dance to her house.
Despite strict Easter fasting eating of fish is allowed on this day. The week that starts on the Monday after Palm Sunday is called Holy Week and is dedicated to the sufferings of Jesus Christ, his crucifixion death and burial.
